We are pleased to offer another season of Madison Explorers for all children ages 7-12 for Summer 2021. Join us as we explore our amazing city!
8:00 am- 4:00 pm daily
(before and after care are available for an additional fee)

Agenda
Children will check in daily at Blooming Grove Montessori, and travel around Madison using Madison Metro. On Monday mornings the children will be responsible for checking the weather and planning trips accordingly for the entire week. The Monday trip will always include a visit to a local library to research the destinations they have chosen to attend for the upcoming week. Educational materials will be developed by Montessori staff according to the ideas, interests, and destinations that the children have chosen. They will check the bus schedules and determine the routes, the amount of walking for each trip, and will makes lists of items that they will need for each trip. On Fridays, part of the day will be spent reflecting on the weeks trips, writing about the activities, and presenting what they have learned to the rest of the group. Children should bring a lunch from home, don’t forget the ice packs!
